Presentation

The theory of braids is an active area of research at the interface between algebra, topology and geometry, and has various applications to other domains of mathematics and the sciences. Recently, fundamental and surprising connections between braid groups, configuration spaces and homotopy theory have come to light, and have stimulated the mutual development of each of these topics. The focus of the meeting "Braid groups, configuration spaces and homotopy theory" will be on these three areas and the interplay between them.

This is an ICM2018 Satellite Conference. More information about the ICM2018 may be found on the official homepage of the International Congress of Mathematicians.
